Dr. Hadeel M. Jawad brings over 15 years of teaching experience, 10 first-author publications, and 5 years of industry expertise as an application developer. She is currently working as a faculty member in the Computer Science and Engineering Department at Oakland University.

Dr. Jawad holds a bachelor's and master's degree in Computer Engineering, as well as a Ph.D. in Technology Management from Eastern Michigan University. She also earned a Graduate Certificate in Advanced Web and Mobile Application Development from San Diego State University.

Her research focuses on gamifying computer science education and exploring innovative approaches to teaching programming, particularly to females and underrepresented minorities. Her academic interests include mobile application development, software engineering, human-computer interaction, and creating tools to enhance programming education.

During her doctoral studies, she developed theCodeGenie.com, an innovative online tool that integrates art and animation to make learning computer programming more engaging and accessible.
